What to Expect at Your First Appointment
Our friendly team of hearing specialists will help you navigate through your journey to better hearing.
- First, we begin with a conversation to get to know you. We will have you fill out an intake form prior to your appointment which we will discuss with you. We want to get to know you, where you are having trouble hearing, and what your goals are.
- Then we will perform an ear exam by looking at your eardrum and ear canal. If you have a build-up of earwax that is affecting your hearing, we can remove that in our office.
- After we’ve evaluated your ears, then we will begin the hearing test. The hearing test is quick and simple. We will assess your ability to hear different sounds at various frequencies and how well you can hear speech in noise and quiet.
- We will go over the results of your hearing test with you and answer any questions you may have. If you could be helped by hearing aids, we will recommend some options that we believe will best help you.
