Our experience with Pam at Spencer Audiology has been wonderful — a very generous, kind, and positive learning experience. Did I mention life altering? It is as though I have my partner back. He is present, attentive, interested, confident, and overall engaged in life and what is going on around him. No more asking me to repeat everything or simply saying uh-huh, uh-huh, and glossing over everything that is being said, only to learn later that he had not heard or remembered the conversations.

As the partner, I cannot stress enough how important it is to find out if hearing loss is part of the problem (poor communication, memory, confidence, and joy), for example. It is a process, and Pam gives each client the time needed. First is getting tested, and then the process of discovering the best hearing aids for your situation. Bill says it is very important to bring your partner with you throughout as it is a learning experience for all concerned. I agree completely. Additionally, I was there to see how everything worked and fit together, which Bill found very helpful.

Like many people, I had no idea hearing loss was as prevalent as it is or that it is at the heart of so many of our personal health issues. Mostly I am tremendously grateful to have my partner back, here present with me.
